Default Listing removed due to vero?

Hi everyone,

So today my listing was removed due to vero. Interestingly I’m the only seller who got their listing removed.

I believe this is because when I sourced this product it didn’t have warranty to start off with so item could not be registered for warranty. I got an email from a customer a while back saying the item could not be registered for warranty and they have emailed the brand owner. The brand owner have taken my listing down so it makes sense.

I then found a supplier who could offer warranty and for all items to be registered for warranty so I believe my listing was removed because of this situation which had accrued a while back.

My plan for now is to source other products I’ve been researching and forget this one for now and maybe later on in the future re sell it by constantly changing pictures description and price do you guys think this would work in the future?

Fortunately I have sold out on the product which was removed I only reinvest once I’m fully paid and won’t receive all funds until Monday but will receive most of it today.

Appreciate your help and look forward to receiving your replies.

If you value your account then yes, stopping selling counterfeit goods is a no brainer.

I think you, eBay, and the manufacturer of said item knows exactly what is going on here. Most companies with copied products floating around are aware of the issue. With MP being as tight as it is I don't think it would be worth trying to relist the item. I do not think constantly modifying the listing would be effective. Not only do I think it wouldn't prevent listing takedowns but I think it would also have a negative impact on your search ranking. :/

It really makes me wonder why certain companies allow it to go on though.

Thanks for all your replies I’ve heard people saying after 6 months or 12 months it’s safe to sell again it basically wipes off so if it got taken down again after re selling it after 6-12 months it would only be a first warning again is this true or made up?

Also another quick thing to mention is this company are not on the vero programme either so it must of only been removed because a customer contacted the brand owner. Once I got them with serial numbers I never received one return complaint or bad feedback. In fact I never received any negative feedback at all from the product.

This isn't necessarily 100% true - a risky item/group could take you down hard at any point

If you want to carry on selling counterfeit wares then you get what you deserve. No sympathy when you get permanently banned.

Here's something to think about. Sell legitimate wares and enjoy the income, account longevity and security it brings. When your only solution is the illegality, short term income and stress that phake goods bring then it's time to find something else to do.

It is all different now OP. What would fly in years past does not fly anymore. eBay is finally doing something about their fleabay reputation. I really don't think it works that way anymore RE: letting your account cool down a while then listing the same thing.

It's your account though. Get a few hundred sales then try again if you want. That's what I used to recommend after any kind of listing takedown.. especially in cases where tons of stock is leftover.

At the moment I am selling returns I have from a product a while back. I’m selling as used buy it now condition is excellent and I only sell 1 item at a time end listing then start listing again. Selling really well at the moment.

I am thinking of selling the other product again my listing is still the only takedown out of all the products.

I’m thinking of buying 5 or 10 in 3 or 6 months time. Different description for each listing, different titles and pictures and sell just 1 at a time as used once sold end listing then fire the other listing up.

Theirs a market for used/preowned items and if I don’t get any returns on these other returns I’m selling from another product I may do it with that one. Either way my options are wide open.

Important to note as well around December I got vero takedown for one product similar to last one and then the other one 7 months later. I don’t know if it works but I guess it’s all about testing to see what does work

In 13 months of selling I have had 2 vero takedowns 6/7 months apart , 2 counterfeit takedowns same around 6/7 months apart, MC011 restriction and drop shipping policy and I’ve over come everything so far so will always keep on trying.

Otter box cases is something I use to sell years ago as well lol I’ve sold loads of stuff over the years but in the passed if a listing got removed I would just list it again and again straight away and then lose my account.

Nowadays I just moved on to another product. I have a plan for my other product I’m thinking of going to my retailer to buy the product so I have a receipt and if I sell one at a time and it does get pulled again then I will challenge the owner it is a legit product as have proof of purchase lol unfortunately I couldn’t do this as sold multiple items of the product so wouldn’t have a leg to stand on but selling one item at a time might give me a chance. I did this with MC011 and it worked never know lol.

depends on what the vero take down was. if it was for counterfeit then it's bad. some vero take downs are for stupid things like using "stock" photos.

best way to get around vero is to sell and sell and not have vero take down again. but if you are selling counterfeit then vero is looming again.

generally don't try to relist any vero brand

Sooner or later mate your account will get permanently restricted just like phaz0rz stated times have changed now and eBay are cleaning up I’ve seen legitimate eBay accounts which were selling vero for years and were registered businesses and VAT registered all disappear and they are no longer users on eBay.
