USPS holiday shipping surcharge

starting sometime in October,USPS will slap a surcharge on both business and personal shipping,ranging from 5% and up/

Its been going up every year. I used to make $1-2 profits on each item sold for shipping. About $10,000 per year just off that. Now I lose that same amount.
