Getting Scammed- Best way to Resolve
 

HI. So as is with these pathetic buyers, I shipped out a laptop and the customer claims "there was nothing in the box" when he received it. The crazy thing is that I initially was not going to ship it out to him (His account is new with 15 feedback, 3 months roughly) But he explained that he is a normal buyer, his wife sells on ebay and everything-so he convinced me.

And once the item is delivered he tries to pull this scam. At this point eBay is asking for me to Approve the return. I really have no idea what to do, its a very defeating aspect of this business because eBay usually sides with the customers. Thoughts?

-I'm thinking of approving the return. Showing he shipped an empty box and then uploading pictures of what we actually shipped. Anyone ever win one of these cases?? Value of $900...

did you insure the shipment?
does the package shows any sign of someone open and reseal it?
He should file a report with local post office first.
I am afraid if you dont approve the return,Ebay will do it for you .
call Ebay and see what they have to say.

A Florida shop sold an antique watch on Ebay,$24K to a buyer in the midwest,shipped Fed Exp insured.
Buyer wanted to return the item so they sent him a return label(Fed Exp no insurance).
When Fed Exp delivered the package,they noticed the weight is less,so they called the police,open the package infront of the police,it was empty so they filed a police repoet.
they called Ebay and was told to refund in 3 days and then take it up with Fed Exp.
Fed Exp does not offer insurance,just indemity,$100 for non jewelry and $1k max for jewelry,insurance is with third party which they did not sign up for return
