It looks like the week eBay announced managed payments would have been the ideal time to invest very heavily into eBay. Their stock price has done nothing but go up since. Volume of shares also has to be taken into consideration.

Etsy has market cap of 27B and ebay have market cap of 50B.

Price per share don't mean nothing.

This is why I said you also have to factor in the volume of shares (and overall market cap).

Ebay is an old mother,so the market gives it a lower PE,Etsy is considered a growth stock and the market loves growth.
you should have bot Ebay when it was in the low 30s and etsy when it was in 20s.
Etsy sales is slowing,I would not buy Etsy at this level $200/share .
