Promoted listings??

Late last year I set up a store account but I noticed then that I was not able to promote my listings. I believe at that time they were saying you have to have 15 sales or something like that before you were given the option to have promoted listing. Is this still the case. If I create another new store account will I have the option to do promoted listings right out of the gate?

I know a few years ago new accounts got access to promoted listings. That’s not the case anymore?

Re: Promoted listings??

Some do, some don't. I created new accounts last year (the final year of stealth) and about half of them asked if I wanted to promote my very first listing, the very listing that turned the account into a seller account! Didn't matter if the selling limits given to me after the listing were at 10/1000 or 1000/25000. Very random. Of course I always clicked yes as I wanted a quick sale to get the clock ticking.
I originally thought promoting the listing would help with high limits (determined immediately after your first listing) as Ebay loves people that pay huge fees. But it didn't matter. Some accounts got low limits after promoting and others got high limits with no offer to promote the listing.
