Action required: update your identity information
 

Hi, I’ve been selling some items on a stealth account. Suddenly after a week, I got a message

“We couldn't verify the identity information you provided.

More Details
But if everything looks good, you'll need to upload a photo ID instead so we can verify you.

Please update your identity information by Oct 21, 2021 to release your held payouts and avoid further restrictions.”

My questions are if I upload my real id and change the infos to my real infos, will they release the fund? Also, will my account be banned right after?

They should release the funds after you do that even if you have to wait 60 days. However if it will ban your account I don't know, also if you have other accounts in your real info I don't know if those will be linked.
I'll say this though after I changed info in settings name etc they didn't want my ID anymore they just wanted me to do bank deposits.

Quick update, I uploaded real ID and changed stealth infos to my personal real info, then the account just goes back to normal like nothing ever happened with an email from eBay "payment sent to my bank". What a relieve, but can't let my guard down yet.

It's ebay. Sometimes it is difficult to predict in advance what will happen.

Ebay just asked me the same thing. I also have a stealth account. Ive got to upload ID and put a real name. I hope everything ends up like yours. Worried.😬

I ended up having to change my 1st name my last name to my real name. I had to change my bank account name to my real name, same account just stealth name. I submitted a photo ID on the same day. Within an hour I got an email saying thank you for ID verfication. Everything worked out eith no suspension.

Odd, it seems that others who did the same thing were not allowed to do so. They were asked to upload IDs for their previous account info.

im wondering did you change the DOB stuff to your real infor beside the account name?
