eBay gift card/Paypal/feedback question.

Does anybody know if I still need a paypal account in order to use an eBay gift for purchasing feedback?

Before it would say something like….To use an eBay gift card, you must connect/ use paypal and select gift card…….something like that.

Is this still the case?

you can use without logging into paypal. I do all the time.

Just confirmed, that you can use it without logging into paypal.

This must be something new because a month ago, this wasnt the case. I had to log in EVERY time.

Yes, you still need a Paypal account in order to use a gift card which is pretty inconvenient.

Does ebay keep track of PayPal accounts linked to suspended ebay accounts?

Would like to use gift card but afraid the PayPal link might shut down stealth buyer account. Better yet, would like to use PayPal directly.

I have a PayPal account that was used Pre MP for selling, and Post MP for purchasing. Was hoping to use that for purchasing.
