UK sim on foreign eBay account

Hi,

i was thinking to add uk sim to an Italian account for example. Will the use of a foreign number ruin the set up and bring to suspension?
On eBay is full of english sim cards at good prices, and this is a economic solution instead to go to make a sim with docs required here in Italy

On eBay Italian account I was forced to use an Italian SIM... but that was months ago, before MP

Did not try recently, it would be good to know.

The same situation. Tried it in several countries. Previously, it required the coincidence of the country of the SIM card and account. Now I do not know.
