Can I sell an item for more than my selling limit?

This may be a silly question but I have to ask. So I have an aged account 4 years. My selling limit is £3000 a month I sell around £900 a month on it nothing crazy, good feedback and selling history. However I have an item I want to sell that will sell for more than £3000. I think it will fetch around £4,500 and Id like to list it as a buy it now? Im just wondering if eBay allow this and if not what is the likelihood of having my limit increased? Thanks to anyone who can help!

If your selling limit is £3000 I doubt it.

Be careful selling high value items

Contact ebay and ask them to increase the limit. If acc has some history then should be no problems.

And not selling risky items I'd say, OP

The items I sell are not high risk but do sell for around £120 each. However my item I want to sell is Vero not F**e it has been used and I have all original paper work. However I do see many people selling high priced Vero items so how are they doing this?

The item I want to sell will only be this item as I have nothing else of that value. The account has over 70 seller feedback coming up to 5 years old now and all positive feedback and Im MP Verified.

I'd say go for it. But you can't sell above the limit.

If you however hit that limit each month, they'll most likely increase your limit soon or later.

If you think it will bring that much in an auction, you can do it that way. But you have to START IT at less than your monthly limit.

I dont think I will hit that limit each month thats the problem. The only issue I have is requesting a higher limit and them potentially looking into the background of the account as it was previously stealth before being a clean MP account. I dont want a high limit account just obviously more than £3k a month. Id be happy with maybe £8k not sure how it works!

That is an option! However arent vero items using an auction taken down alot more easily than BIN?

I've exceeded my limits more times than I can count; the last being a few weeks ago. I think this is a die-hard bug within eBay's application. I cannot tell in advance when I'd get lucky but I always try with low limit accounts.

Do you mean as in you list an item as a BIN that is for more than your selling limit? That is what I was wondering if id be able to do…its only one item I have but it is more than £3k which is more than my selling limit. I was wondering if i listed it as a BIN for £5k and it sold what happens? Am I able to list the item for that price or do ebay restrict me from doing so? Or if it did sell will eBay allow the payment to be made to me?

I could just request to have a higher selling limit but I doubt they will grant it because im only hitting about £1,300 a month at the most on a £3k account. The only good thing going for me is that the account is aged 4 years and has good feedback.

I use auctions all the time to go above limits. And if account survives, after few sales limits go up.
