Question about VAT
 

Hi everyone,

If you receive a VAT email from eBay can you still sell for 30 days before registering for VAT?

I’ve not received an email yet but just curious to know.

Last time I hit it, which was a while ago, it was fully on hold as soon as I hit the trigger amount but that was the 85k mark for me

If you get the notice before you hit the 85k mark then yes it’s maybe possible to carry on selling until you actually hit 85k as a rolling amount

Thank you so much for your response I appreciate it. Ideally if I do choose to hit it I don’t want to register straight away but I will see how it all goes.

Does ebay automatically collect VAT on each sale or do I have to pay VAT every 3 months for example?
