Default Got all this completely wrong

Hi everyone,

My new business is not going well at the moment. I’ve brought 3 boxes of the same product big mistake thinking I could sell all of them very quickly. Anyway the only way for me to sell these is to massively increase my sponsored add listing otherwise listing nowhere to be seen while doing this any sale made is quickly turned into a quick loss.

Should I of brought different types of products in the same niche? 10 profitable different products at x10pcs example instead of carrying all my eggs in one basket?

The products I sell on eBay in ZikAnalytics generates £100k a month so theirs a demand for the products most sellers in this market are making £10k to £200k every month.

Would appreciate anyone replying to my question.

if they're selling well with the big sellers, there's probably potential in the item. id be more weary of an item that wasn't selling well with anyone, anywhere

could be you just need to sell a bunch of them at a loss / breakeven before they start to generate any significant standing in search. I have a few items like that recently, where I needed to sell 50pcs over the course of a month @ breakeven before I could start increasing prices to a more reasonable level. make sure to optimize the listing too

Thank you for replying I do appreciate it and I would definitely settle for breaking even right now hopefully I can drop my add rate at a reasonable price as that’s where all my money is going atm. I have optimised my listing as well so I will just leave it for now and slowly bring the add rate down day by day maybe.

as an aside, are you a TRS? TRS get huge priority in the listings nowadays so if you have any accounts that are currently TRS (or can afford to wait the amount of time it takes to become TRS), your best bet is to go with those

No I was top rated seller a few months ago but lost it as wasn’t selling many items. I think December or January I will be top rated seller again hopefully being top rated seller will allow me to list accordingly and if I get top rated seller again I will do my upmost to keep it this time.

Im thinking of investing in around 10 or 20 items in my niche but not sure if I should wait until I get more cash flow from the other products not even sure if it will help but it’s something I haven't tried before or wait to become top rated seller as you suggested.

Just seen on my dashboard my transaction defect rate is 0.89% but in December 16 of the defects will be removed out of 18 so hopefully December I will be top rated seller again.

Don't pay for sponsored listing if it will cause you to lose profit.
Put it up on gumtree and redirect prospective buyers to your listings.
Redirecting everyone that contacts you will be too repetitive for small items but you sound like you sell espensive items.
