New user ebay confirmed vpn usage is fine
 

Hello all

New user here. My account was indefinitely suspended at the end of August this year.

Since then I've tried making an ebay stealth account. I'm a complete newbie so please bear this in mind before trying to rip into me. I joined kamatera, setup a new cloud server, purchased a remote desktop as my windows version did not support it.

I then created a remote desktop for my laptop and android. I then gained 3 days worth of cookies to look like I'm not a new ebay user.

I then joined nord vpn, set that up using ip in my country only.

I have since spoken to ebay today and they confirmed that vpns are allowed and they would be no issue with me using ebay whilst using vpn. I took screenshot of the conversation with ebay.

Also I have a new phone with new number, new bank details of my mother's, new address, new PayPal, new g mail account, new ip. Cleared my original cookies.

But now my dilemma is that people say you can use stealth with vpn only, so I'm thinking of scrapping kamatera completely. Plus I got an ip address with kamatera that was different to the one on Nord and don't know how to link these softwares together to get the same ip address. I'm also using a dhcp connection. Where do I proceed from here I've spent 3 months and I'm nervous about starting it up again. P.s bow do I upload my screen shots of the conversation. Can somebody please help me with this topic as I see soooo many conflicting information. Thanks

You're displaying the UK flag. Are you in the UK? If so why are you using remote services and low grade V.P.N. given that it must be one cheapest places to get a proper IP address.

Doesn't matter one bit what they say, you were most likely talking to a minimum wage call representative. You will be doomed for failure if you start out using a VPN.

DO NOT use remote desktop or Virtual Machine to start, DO NOT use a VPN/VPS to start.

After you have some history, trust and time on the acct, then you can start using the above if you are smart about it.

BTW: Nord VPN is not a smart choice even on a seasoned acct.

Running a low quality VPN is going to lead in the best case scenario to daily "security checks" SMS verifications and emails from Ebay saying they believe someone else has accessed your account and you need to verify your info. Also will lead to lower selling limits and more then likely 21 to 30 day payout hold. In the more likely scenario they'll let you register and verify the account only to send you an email within a week that says you are a risk to the platform and community and they no longer want to do business with you. You are on this board, its easy, grab a residential IP VPN from IPburger and carry on. Kamatera was ok to run Paypal/Ebay 5 or 6 years ago... That's no longer the case.

I've always run my accounts on crappy datacenter VPNs (sharkteck, colocrossing, + a few other well known companies rented to me by 24vc) and have never had problems aside from more captchas than usual.

I agree with TGMT. Starting out on a bad VPN will most likely result in lots of trouble but there's nothing wrong with switching to one for account management after creation.

In this case yes... If he's so green he's trusting Ebay's call center employees who don't actually have Ebay accounts to give him accurate information he needs to K.I.S.S. until he learns to walk.

NORD VPN is what got you nailed.

Also use a residential IP to create the account.

Do you recommend residential IP over fresh IP?
