eBay Banned with £800 being held? Lost for good?
 

Hello

I was selling perfectly fine and a couple of payouts via eBay.

Then they asked for me to upload my ID which I did.

They said the ID did not pass the requirements and they're permanently restricting my account. The account still has £800 in the Managed Payments. I asked whether they're going to send me the money but they've said due to the law they can't.

What do I do?!

Is this a legitimate account with matching ID or a stealth/phake account?

If it's the latter the they will almost certainly withhold your money, if it's the former you can ask the Regulators to assist.

Then it's gone. I've yet to see any meaningful reports of folk overturning this kind of decision once you're on the radar for supplying ID which cannot be verified as legitimate.

UK DL, I suspect they have some kind of KYC system now to verify this type of thing.

they have tools for check if identity exist or not...easy!
KYC read automatically name surname date of born etc...and check if the identity is real...

Sorry to hear about your account being shut down. I also have a question if you don't mind answering. It will help the community as its getting rather difficult to stealth these days.

Was the account completely stealth as in completely xxxx name and xxxx dob?
How long was the stealth running for and total turnover before the ban?
