When another seller copies your listings + descriptions

My understanding is that this used to be against TOS but is now allowed. At least thats what I think I read somewhere, but I can't find that resource anymore. Can someone confirm? I know you used to be able to report them and get these listings taken down

if you have them watermarked it is possible to have them removed.

You can report them

Are your pictures watermarked?

They are not watermarked. :( my understanding was that watermarking was against the rules

The seller also copy / pasted the listing description word for word. Can that be reported as well?

I remember there used to be a form used to report copied listings, is there any such form still?

It is. But also something a lot of people do anyway myself included

You can report that as well. eBay may not do anything about it mind you

I thought they changed that, after they realized THEY recommended water marks on all the pictures, and banning them, would be their fault and cause sellers to spend millions of hours combined worth of work? I mean, jeez, think about it. If all 20mil sellers had to spend a couple hours to redo pictures, that would be almost a billion dollars worth of work at just $20 an hour.

I'd give an earlier listing of yours then tell ebay to compare with the copy cat.

That's how I've always done it.

Just the "report this listing" function?

As an aside, I remembered the form I was thinking of. It was the "Image and Text Theft Notice of Claimed Infringement" and it used to work like magic. Link here (download, for those curious)
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...VIQQneC8Tf5l_c

And another link that addresses the change in policy I was referring to.

Since ebay changed their terms so you transfer all usage rights to them as they try and create an Amazon-like catalogue then it is very difficult to get images removed but text is nigh on impossible.

I think that such people are just brainless, and worse is when they make more sales than you.
