Reactivate death Message

How many people here don't get that Reactivate message? Is it ip related? It is phone number? or is it physical device? Its not combination of things I know that. Its one little thing that triggers it.

It’s a mix of everything. If anything looks suspicious you get this message

The average Joe that goes to eBay and set up a seller account will never get that message.

But someone that looks like they are about to hack eBay or commit fraud will get that message

He’s talking about creating a new seller account, you get this message “Reactivate your acccount” around 30 Min after listing your first or second item. It’s like a soft suspension. Your account is basically dead from Buying and Selling until you contact eBay to restore it. And after that it’s a high chance you get suspended after restoring it.

Feels like this is on a case-by-case basis

For IP - High Quality Mobile LTE such as AT&T or Verizon or Residential IP
Phone Number - High Quality Numbers from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint or T-Mobile
Device - Fresh Windows User
Browser - Firefox

And thats it, assuming you're signing up with fresh details that has never touched ebay before you will not get this message.

Don't think it's that simple from my experience.

I use fresh IP that I have never used before that I keep a record of from a mobile broadband device.

Use a brand new real sim number issued by the biggest telco.

Fresh windows users, and tried both firefox/chrome.

Many people use this method but still get instant "reactive message". :noidea:

The main thing to not getting that message is to not cheap out on your phone number and ip. Those online virtual numbers are very bad and abused and same with IP.
Quality > Quantity

there's no such thing as a fresh IP from a mobile device it's all re-used IP.

if you go to IPburger you can get a fresh and dedicated IP .
