Have you guys noticed that sales are sluggish lately?
 

I am not talking about the usual eBay throttling, but rather a general trend of people abstaining from spending money both on/offline.


I spent few hours yesterday checking the biggest sellers on Amazon in Europe and their sales have apparently taken a hit, they are lower by a good 20-30%.


I think because of all the $hit that has been going on for the last 2 years people might be more cautious when it comes to spending money nowadays.

We are in a recession. It is inevitable that the extra money dries up. People will start tp buy what they need and when they need it sooner than later.

To be fair, I think in general people are cyclic. I only sold 13 items in the past 2 days. Good days, bad days, good months, bad months. People find a way to buy the things they want and need.

season is changing too and more people are buying more warm weather stuff.

arent Europeans have to pay more for natural gas now?
We in USA have been paying $4-$5 for one gallon of gasoline,my water bill goes up,my electric bill goes up,my gas bill has gone up ,my homeowner and car insurance will sure go up,lets not forget the grocery bill,prices keep going up every week.

Yes gas prices are way up over here, hopefully things will get better soon.

This has nothing to do with rising prices in gas station and food aisles

Etsy is very slow,many buyers are still trying to pay for what they bought for resale,buy now pay later in 4 installments.
just food and gasoline could add a few hundred to their monthly budget
