| Sprutehode | 04-09-2022 07:22 AM | SSN/ITIN and address Hi.
Does Ebay care if the ITIN/SSN you provide them with is registered under the same address as an old Ebay account you are banned on, or if it does not match with the address you used on your new Ebay account? Can they even find out what address your ITIN/SSN is rgeistered under? I have an American ITIN, but it is registered with the same address as my suspended eBay account. Not sure if thats a problem or not. |
| yankee | 04-09-2022 09:47 AM | Re: SSN/ITIN and address It seems address must match the tax number. They are doing extensive data base verification. Maybe core-logic etc.. |

I noticed by browsing the forums that a year ago you answered this to a similar question "In the USA where we do have SSN numbers, the address is irrelevant. But the name must match the tax number."
But I guess eBay changed their policy since then, and now the address matters? |

Typically data base gathers information from your credit reports. Credit cards, auto loans, insurance, recent change of address mail forwarding, etc...
So if you change those things address, wait a few weeks minimum, you should be good to go.
Or just use the old address. |

I don't have any insurance, auto loans etc, but I do have a credit card. Do you think if I change the address I use in my American bank account I'm good to go? And won't eBay ban me if I use my old address? |

Or you could just use your old address like most people who switched to MP. |

I probably got banned because I listed something on the VERO list without knowing, but I have sinced learned my lesson. Now I am about to create an account together with my brother using his info, but I want to do everything right. Do you think I can use the address I used on the banned account, since I had not activated MP on the banned account? |

| yankee | 04-09-2022 02:25 PM | Re: SSN/ITIN and address I would consider fixing your old account too. If you dont know why you were suspended odds are it is not a major fix. |

That I am permanently suspended from buying and selling, and any new account that I create will be suspended too, and that there is no use in appealing. I even contacted a so called expert in the field to help get my account back, and he told me it was nothing he could do. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 03:39 AM. | |
