ebay Secure pickup confirmation with qr/code only available on eBay app?

I noticed there is a secure ebay pickup option, when you sell a item for pickup only the buyer is emailed a 6 digit code and on pickup the seller scans or inputs this code to confirm pickup. It generates come kind of tracking number and on ebay system the tracking shows as picked up. This is pretty good for keeping your account in good standing however I can't find this option when using form browser... not too keen on using the ebay app on a seller account.

Does anybody know if this can be done through browser?

eBay app is the only way to input the code correctly. And once you sign into the eBay app you risk getting your account linked to a suspended one. You can try entering it as a tracking number also

yeah I thought so, I actually bought something and picked it later it showed in my ebay that the seller entered like a 20-30 digit tracking number so clicked on it and said picked up securely. Now I want to do this also but having the app and managing 5 - 10 diff accounts is a deal breaker l. Not getting 10 seperate phones to manage each account :(

Even with that secure code in the app, I'm not a fan of using the eb app

It sucks that eBay forces you to use their app for local pickups. It’s more convenient but it sucks for stealth

well a device cost 30$ I don't see it that inconvenient. I have never tried this option but seems tempting..

Has anyone done this ??

I do local pickup and purchase on my own burner accounts just to build feedback. I wouldn't recommend it though

Easy to do - have to manage purchase behaviour to avoid possible linking

Lately when I have been building feedback from burners for local pickup they last about a week and get slammed sometimes taking other accounts down too.

I like to keep items around $20+ on local pickup, anything lower gets you suspended. But its a very good way to build feedback on new sellers

Interesting, I was keeping it as low as possible $1 I guess that is making it obvious

eBay hates those $1 items and especially if you do lots of them
