eBay is blocking many IPS ? what's going on ?
 

Wow! eBay is now blocking so many IPs ?
I am using a virtual machine service which allow me to switch IPs for different accounts ...
Just recently, for around 1 week, lots of IP been blocked by eBay, I know all my accounts are working because there are orders coming in.
But I have to keep changing my IPs to gain access to certain account.

The error I am getting is
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/sh/ovw" on this server.

I believe lots of eBay buyers have the same issue, this is why eBay sales are way down recently. And you won't see the complaint in eBay community because these eBay users cannot even login, access denied.

Anyone experienced the same ? any work around available ?

I am using VPC ... cloud PC and works fine for quite some time, only recently start getting eBay access denied, but not on all the IPs I got from this VPC service though, some IPs can get thru into eBay, but some just acess denied, and the percentage of the access denied ones are getting more and more ....

I don't think this is IP address issue though, because all the IPs I got fromn this cloud service are US IP addresses.

I just don't understand why some of these IPs get thru eBay, but lots of them started getting blocked recently.


I think eBay is doing someting on the security again and it's not very well thought nor planned causing lots of eBayers access denied and cannot place orders nor doing listings


Any suggestions ?

Check your fingerprints with iphey.com it should be all green

I’ve gotten access denied only 1 time and that was a year ago.. had to call in to remove it.. I signed into a friends account that stayed very far from me

that site shows my stock phone as unreliable and blocking hardware fingerprint

They can easily detect remote servers now

Actually no, on my main phone which I use now I run my old seller account through chrome+cookies. Haven't sold on this account in about 6 months but I do alot of ebay browsing.... Actually checked like 4 other phones I have and they all show hardware fingerprint error. Something about this site doesn't like mobile hardware

Edit: I think I know what might be triggering this warning, I tried a few google and Samsung phones they all seem to have same or similar canvas id and webgl which repeats. So it looks like mobile hardware is very generic and hard(er) to hardware print. Perhaps mobile hardware have been spoofed enough so the site recognises those real hw specs in my case as a attempt to mask/edit

So through testing I found that chrome and firefox both show as unreliable hardware. Firefox seems to totally spoof hw specs canvas audio etc all come out totally different then on chrome and then on some other browsers the specs come out as reliable (prob no spoofing)
so now I understand why people get banned more on Firefox
