I was asked for supplier info - ebay is my supplier!
 

Hi all

Sold a cheap book to warm up my new stealth account with no problem. Sold a 2nd book and was asked

"May I know where do you get the products that you plan to sell (be specific with the names of your distributors and suppliers)"

I was buying books on ebay in a different ac**** to ship to customers at a small loss to warm up the new stealth account

How should I answer their question?

The account is suspended until you supply them?

I would call in and say you are selling stuff you have around the house.

Yes that's correct. I wasn't sure if they would consider the answers it's stuff I have around the house an acceptable answer. These are books that end the auction at £1.10 so it doesn't really make sense to say I need a supplier etc. The postage costs more than the book!

In live chat when I asked about my account suspension ebay said this

But I didn't answer because I want to check with you guys first what's best to say

Just tell them you're selling your own books... cleaning house basically

99% will permanently suspend even they reinstated your account.

No it was different.

I asked the agent how is selling used books a violation of ebay policy and she said "the decision isn't just limited to what I am selling" So something else may have triggered it I guess.

This is the sellers 5th attempt at providing me an account. Most of the others were suspended before I even did anything so maybe the accounts weren't created well.

Way to bury the lead. Why don't you take it up with the shady-ass person selling you useless accounts?

If the seller isn’t sending you the cookies with the account and a dedicated ip attached with it then you will constantly get suspended

Good idea except how interested do you think a seller is to help after they have your money.

Do you think they will resolve it or simply say it was my fault somehow and keep my money? Hmmm I wonder.

The seller said they no longer offer an account guarantee as long as it works at the time of handing it over.

What seller does that? I have bought accounts from 3 different sellers on here and they never provided cookies or IP. That would be nice, though!

Lol who provides cookies ? isn't that pointless as your device ID is different to the one saved in the cookie file anyway ?

All sellers should provide the original firefox portable folder in my opinion.

I migrate my accounts all the time.

When loggin in on a new machine you dont get the " New eBay activity " message if you use the original firefox portable folder used to open the account.

That's awesome news.

So I can finally upgrade from Windows 7 and get a new computer built as long as I transfer my firefox portable folder ?

This is what i saw from my experience.

I copied the Firefox Folder from an old machine to a new one and due to the cookies saved i was logged in automatically and no message from eBay.
