Anyone ever get restricted before adding payout method?
 

So a new account of mine sold a few items and got permanently restricted before I had a chance to add a payout method. I am now unable to add a payout method, and eBay CS is pretty useless. They said to contact them after 60-72 days for the "next steps after the account has settled"

What ends up happening to the funds on these accounts? The eB rep said I may be able to add bank info then, but I get the sense that its typical CS bs. So do they send a check to the address on file instead? Are they forfeited to government and I have to go through some unclaimed money process? do they just keep it period?

Identity + all that info is legit. I expect it to be a giant headache but legally they can't exactly keep the money - it has to go somewhere

This is why I always purchase a item from myself to start a eBay seller account. I wait until a few days after the item is sold to add the bank though. The suspension rate is too high to waste a bank account. If the account gets suspended I just refund it back to my payment method

I usually do the same with banks. Have you ever tried getting money back from a suspended account? From the escheatment process or w/e

No I never had that problem because when my accounts gets suspended they already have the bank attached and verified so the money comes in 30-60 days

Yea those funds are toast if you’ve already shipped the order to the buyer
