Mac Users: Migration Assistant

Hi

I am trying to upgrade my stealth laptop to the new M1 Mac.

wondering if anyone knows if the migration assistant is a good tool to completely copy each of my user accounts from my old 2014 Mac to my new one?

and is time machine a good way to keep a back up for my Mac. I used to use carbon copy cloner but it isn't compatible with the new macs anymore


Will it copy all of the cookies and necessary things from my previous user accounts in the old laptop via migration assistant?
And since I’m upgrading my OS and that will reflect in my fingerprint, will that flag my eBay accounts at all?

If in any doubt, I won’t change anything thats working perfectly. Isn’t this the perfect timing to have the accounts in a stand along machine?

It shouldn't, I have several accounts that were created on Win10 and are now running on Win11. Then again you're using a MAC, so...
