Purchasing existing eBay account - changing account info
 

I have the opportunity to buy an existing & established seller account from an individual - the problem is I will need to change all of the information on the account - email, phone, registered name, EIN, SSN, and bank account.

Updating the SSN is tricky because I am personally suspended on eBay & cannot use my own.

My question is - do you think this is doable and will the account survive?

Changing all that info is very tricky - could trip up security flags

It would be deemed a transfer of account and without very good reason ebay will not do it.

In the unlikely event they did permit such wholesale changes and didn't suspend the account are you going to do the same things which got you suspended in the first place?

IMO the only way to make this work is to leave the account as it is. Clearly this has pretty serious implications for the current account holder.

No indeed it’s going to look like you got hacked.. and you knows what comes after that right???
