Selling high price item on stealth account

If you are at an ip that’s not blacklisted by ebay and have an new clean device, and create an brand new stealth account is it ok to sell an high limit item right off the bat for something like 300-700 usd?

Want this questions to be answered in the scenario that this new account can’t be linked to any other account whatsoever.

I understand that there would be an immediate hold on your account, and they would have ask for anything and everything (ssn, ID, confirmed banks, verified phone/ multiple sms codes, tax id, and etc). But let’s say you have this info available and are able to pass all of these checks. Will selling that item and cashing out be fine, After the buyer received your item, would ebay permanently suspend my account if something like this was tried, even though everything about me would be clean?

There being the chance that an account like this gets permanently banned what are some other major deterrence/ verification that ebay can throw at an account like this?

It's got nothing to do with good IP or not.
It's about the account history. expensive items = risky.
Expensive + branded = Riskier

If they ban you because you are deemed a risky seller they won't even give you the chance to appeal.

Make sure you try to get your identity + bank verified as soon as possible. Incase you get suspended funds should come in 60 days. But if eBay can’t verify anything they will tell you contact your state for unclaimed funds after 180 days

If the account is squeaky clean, with all verifiable paperwork in place and every aspect legitimate then you probably wont have any problems. Yes, there will be scrutiny and holds and cross-checking but if you can pass their tests then you'll be good to go.

It's easy to lose sight when you frequent forums such as this that ebay are not looking to close down legitimate new businesses, quite the opposite.

That said, if you can provide everything required and pass all tests it ain't a stealth account...... :)

The way I see it, if eveything goes fine they will still probably hold funds for 21-30 days if you get botted it will come after 60 days pending your info is real and passes verification

If you want things to go as smooth as possible please print the label directly from eBay.

You will get funds alot faster than using your own label

Electronic.

What categories are deemed least risky in the eyes of ebay?

If you use your own labels, does this heightened risk of getting banned?

New or used? New you wont pass scrutiny because you're not an authorised apple outlet and if used you'll get likely get suspended because that's a high risk item and have to jump through the usual hoops.

You mentioned using your own labels, what high price electronics were you planning to sell on your own label? That too will attract scrutiny.

Sounds like you'll need to warm the account up for quite some time with low risk wares first.

But as I said above, if you are sensible and have all your paperwork and credentials in order it can be done, folk are opening new accounts daily and selling successfully otherwise the account sellers here would go out of business. :)

They key to success is 'do I look normal', and 'can every aspect of my new business pass their enquiries'.

Just much more suspicious and funds will be held longer because eBay doesn’t know if you shipped it to the right address

Listen to Hank about the selling of electronics. The Apple brand and electronic category of sales can be rough.

Which categories are seen as the least risky in the eyes of ebay, high price or not, are all high priced items don’t matter categories seen as risky compared to other high priced items?

There's no high risk categories only high risk sellers :)

Given the almost infinite number of wares available all that ever gets rolled out is 'avoid electronics' and 'start with some simple household goods'.

Nobody here knows the relative 'risks' of each category, if your account set up is weak then you'll be suspended just as quick for selling a hanky as you would a playstation.
