Creating new eBay account

Hi everyone,

First post for me this year I hope everyone is doing great in their eBay businesses So I’ve been selling on other marketplaces I quit my job in February and I’ve been doing very well without using eBay due to real eBay account getting suspended. I’m now back attempting to create a new eBay account after talking with a close friend of mine.

My method so far:

1) brought an iPhone 6s from eBay unlocked to any network (brought 2 actually) as planning on creating a few accounts
2) use 4g data £10 a month with new IP address.
3) new phone number from new SIM card
4) new email address
5) real name and date of birth
6) slight address change so example 1 Davies road now 1a Davies road
7) new bank account never been used on eBay before

I’ve had the account active for just 3 days I’ve been browsing eBay any items I can think of and also brought 99p items which some have been delivered to me postman did ask why A was next to my number but wasn’t an issue.

I’ve already gained 5 feedbacks and in 2 days I can start leaving feedback. No selling account open yet I was going to wait 30 days to list my first item.

Do you think my method will work it did work for my friend but I guess only time will tell.

Of course, nothing can be said without trying, but if you have been suspended in mp, they may suspend the account again. List your first item as low risk, but from my own experience and reading on the forum, your purchase history on eBay won't affect your seller account much. Everything you get your heart desires.

OP, real name and date of birth has been used before with the close-matching address? If so - possible issue of linking moving forward...

Yes real name and date of birth used before which got suspended I’m hoping the slight address change and everything else changed it will be okay.

If not what banks accept mismatch names? As if it doesn’t work I can use family members details but would need to know a bank which will accept a mismatch name

I don't know a local bank as I don't live in the UK. Friends living in England on the forum will give better information on this subject. However, I was able to receive my payment without having a name mismatch with Wise.

I really think it’s 50/50 if this method will work or not I have plenty of high street banks but hopefully someone in the U.K. will know a bank I could use with a mismatch name if this plan doesn’t work.

So the addresses have to match when names are the same on a business acc ?
I tried adding a card with dif address and it said unable - pls use a different card?
Names are the same on both though.
Can someone advise me please?

I’m not 100% sure my friend created a stealth managed payment account using the above methods and he just put A next to his number used different bank in his name used same date of birth and it worked for him. He said you can use NO1A instead of 1 example or 1A so I’ve tried something similar.

I can buy stuff using my bank card not created seller account yet so I will see if it works end of the month. I need to know which banks in the U.K. will accept mismatch names if this plan doesn’t work.
