6 accounts suspended
 

Hi everyone,

I’ve lost 6 accounts which I have created.

A couple of them I can see mistakes I made with none real address and high risk items listed to start off with.

The last one which got suspended I can’t put my finger on it why it got suspended.

I listed a pair of soul cal shorts I titled it as mens medium summer shorts unbranded in title and description it didn’t sell. I re listed it got a few bids.

I also listed a pair of mens navy blue jeans their diesal jeans but again didn’t label them as branded in title or description.

After a couple of days the account got suspended.

I used real name date of birth a real address (not my own)

I waited 10 days to list items on this account starting off with 1 and then 2. I also browsed everyday before listing

Anyone know why this account got suspended?

What is the source of your IP?

I use mobile hotspot from phone to laptop. I’ve got loads of SIM cards all with 15g data.

I highly doubt your IP is the problem.

What was the suspension email?

it is the same with all new accounts , you get restricted or suspended and need to ask for reinstatement. if suspended a second time it is indefinite

it does not matter whether you browse for many days or wait for weeks

Even if something is labeled as unbranded, they have a bot who sees brands and logos in the photos. Listing it as unbranded is your mistake. Next time hide the logos when taking the photos. Do not use photo editing programs to scratch the logos, because this is visible to ebay.

Amazon have been employing this software for some time now, it was only a matter of time before it worked it's way into ebays armory.

That said, I don't believe its the goods, title and description which is causing OP's account to go down, they are clearly able to discriminate between legitimate brand-name sellers and 'chancers' otherwise they'd be taking accounts down willy-nilly.

It's the usual suspect I'd guess, poor account creation, metadata, and known red flag wares....like jeans.

I also suspect that they have a trigger for private accounts listing new goods. I'll wager if it was a business account the issues would be lessened.

This is what I think has most likely happened. When I listed the jeans up it had the brand logo showing in the pictures.

I used an iPhone 6s to take photos of the items. The iPhone 6s had never been used before I brought it from eBay and arrived as factory setting reset.

I’m not to sure how to clean metadata in photos? Could you kindly help with that?

So if I was listing a pair of none branded used jeans with no brand in the photos the account wouldn’t be suspended. This is the only thing I can think of why it went down.

I received reactivate message passed that is it possible to get the account reinstated from 1st suspension?

They were all restricted before had the reactivation message on all of them all all passed reactivation message.

But shortly after I get the message to say your account has been permanently suspended.

I have forgotten about these accounts now and deleted them off my laptop but I have another post to make which is more baffling to me.

Well that’s your problem OP. That iPhone is sharing the same exact camera lens on all your listings. eBay can track that. Clean metadata on your next listings. I use batch purifier

Hmm brand logo - maybe also tagged by a competitive seller? who viewed and reported...

Yes I think your right definitely the brand logo triggered by the bots caused this suspension.

My 1 and final account active is still live with a pair of jeans no brand logos on in pics title or description let’s see how long it can stay active for

I never take photos with, my phone. I have a dedicated camera to do that, then I take the SD card and put it on my laptop to be edited and cleaned.

I never use any kind of mobile device for work.

You could simply go to google and search for photo metadata tripping or cleaner software.

This is one thing I havnt done yet and use metadata which is explained in the stealth guide so next time I will look into abit more it seemed complicated but if I look into it properly then I can say I’ve finally covered up all angles when creating stealth accounts.

Nah, not complicated at all. Just google that software and you'll see what I mean.
