Do poor selling items affect performance of other items?
 

Hi,

I've recently started selling some items I used to sell some years ago but am seeing very poor selling performance compared to what I used to get.

I have other items on my account at fairly high prices which I'm slowly discounting until they sell. So I wondered if these "poorly performing" items could affect the selling / account performance of my usual hot selling items.

Does anyone have any information on this?

No one knows. They might say they do, but not really. Could it affect it? Sure. But how much? NO one knows.

I'm sure no one has the answer but I was hoping people might have some opinions based on what they've observed.

No, it won't affect the algo of your other unrelated items.

i mean, how can you really know that tho. No one knows how the algo works. Not even ebay knows at this point.

I was wondering about this myself a while back, same situation as OP.

it only affects the non selling listing and not the other popular listing.
