IP address change
 

Hi everyone,

After talking with someone on the forum I’ve noticed something which maybe triggering my accounts not sure tho.

So on ip burger my giffgaff SIM cards never show the IP address always says fail to load page. In google it says ISP is Telefonica and the digits always change when I turn hotspot on/off.

I decided to turn my modem off I’m with now tv in the U.K. previous ip was a long one

2a02:C7c:340f:3100:E8a6:Cb07:D (the ip registers on ip burger)

When I turn my router back on the ip is a long one but it’s changed

2a02:C7c:340f:3100:25b6:Flac:406d:65 (the ip registers on ip burger)

My question is these 2 IPs are now different not the same. Shall I now ditch mobile hotspot with Giffgaff and use my router instead?

Just turned the router off twice and ip digits have changed again maybe it’s worth me using my router instead of mobile hotspot it’s the same principle turn off and on and ip changes

yyea, you can just use your own router and reset your modem.

Thanks I will definitely do that from now on it’s much faster than these SIM cards and I’m not sure if their 100% reliable either.

Just make sure you go to ipburger.com to see what your IP changes to, grab an excel sheet and make note which account used which IP.

If you're in the UK, selling on UK platforms and using a UK sim for your IP, why are you even bothering with a V.P.N.?

I think he uses IPburger website to pull the IP address.

Personally I just set all home pages to whoer.net

Yes that’s right I check ip burger to see if the IPs from mobile data pop up but I always get access denied. Where as I check my router it always pops up with a different ip if I turn my router off and on so I created a new account with my router this time I’ll see how that one goes.

Just buy a 4g LTE Huawei router and then pin the home page (192.168.x.x) to a tab.
You don't need to have access to the physical router or leave your seat when you need a fresh IP and it only takes 5 seconds or thereabout.

I always use mobile data and 0 issues

IMO sites which are trying to sell VPNs will always give out worrying messages. It's a part of their sales ploy.

Trust the science, your mobile data plan or a router re-set will be just fine.

It is the best thing to do in most cases when its viable and your in the right country

Thanks at least I know mobile hotspot and router change with dynamic IPs is okay for account set ups. My one account is looking okay for now :)

Oh yes, it's fine.
LIke I said just check what the IPs change to then manually log them so you don't reuse the same IP on a different account.
