Can eBay bots track messages and pics sent in inbox
 

Hi everyone,

My listing is ending on Thursday it’s got 2bids it’s branded jeans but not listed as branded and no branding shown in pics looks like a normal pair of used jeans.

I brought these jeans for £70 last year atm their going for pennies due to the way I have listed for obvious reasons.

Question is if I messaged 2 of the bidders and said the jeans are Hugo boss jeans and showed private pictures of the labelling can the bots detect this kind of activity between me and the buyers?

I havnt done this as bots never seem to amaze me so thought I would ask for a bit of advice.

Yes eBay bots scan messages.. but they only do this for like scammers mostly.

Sometimes scammers will message a new seller or new listing saying they want to offer more than what’s it’s worth and tell you to contact them outside of eBay.

And sometimes they will send a offer and tell you that they already paid and they will send you the address to ship it to.

Would you recommend me to message the two bidders to say their Hugo boss jeans which they are to try and increase the value otherwise they will be sold for nothing or just not bother and play safe which is the aim of the game with new accounts.

I never did something like that before.. but you should have the title, description and photos correctly of the item if you plan on selling it without issues

Okay thanks unfortunately I can’t list Hugo boss in title or description and can’t show brand in photos otherwise account will be suspended as it’s a new account.

Last account I listed a pair of jeans un brand in title and description but took photos of the diesel logos and guess what bots saw that and suspended account.

I don’t ware these jeans but the buyer is going to get a real bargain on them doesn’t make me feel too good but have to play the long game.

Between eBay and both bidders, it's a roll of the dice who'd take your account to the slaughter.

I have a feeling their is a bot watching my account and he’s a clever bot he’s waiting for me to make one mistake and then trigger it well this time bot I’m not going to make that fatal mistake. I will swallow my pride and lose money and hopefully in 8 or 9 weeks time the bot can like my account and then let me list my risky items.

Yes your right their risky items but they make a lot of money I do have a long term plan this time where as before I didn’t really have a plan it’s going to take some time and a lot of patience involved.

Bots can scan the messages and one or all of the bidders could go righteous and say you're misleading or trying to do weird promotion so I wouldn't

Unfortunately this account has been suspended today :ban?: that’s 8 accounts I’ve lost now. Yesterday I created PayPal account for my Facebook business. I created PayPal account 24 hours ago and 24 hrs later eBay account suspended what a coincidence. I used google chrome instead of Firefox which my eBay account was created on.

I used my real name and mismatch address for PayPal did this trigger the suspension on my eBay account?

If it has that’s another school boy error mistake I have made :doh:

Steps for creating account.

1) new user account
2) friends real name, date of birth and address all matching.
3) new gmail
4) new phone number
5) savings account with Halifax
6) new ip using mobile hotspot always turning off and on before switching accounts.

List low risk item no brand in photos, title description. List for 7 days auction. I use different phone for photos never used before I have a few iPhone 6s brought from eBay. After few days of listing going live with bids I get hit with your account has been suspended. I can’t think of a solution why this has happened.

Browsing for 7-14 days and watching items before listing first item. I only list one item low risk.

Are you cleaning photos metadata? Are you disabling images in gmail?

No still not cleaned photos in metadata but this phone has not been used to take any pictures before. I’ve also not disabled any images in gmail and yesterday I did log into gmail as had to confirm email address for PayPal account I created.

I clean every single image I upload to eBay. There’s tons of identifying info in images. I use batch purifier.. it works good on jpeg images. Doesn’t work with pnj

Do you think using a new phone never been used before to take pictures is still an issue?

Also another question is if I take pictures on same carpet but different item and phone has this caused a suspension?

I’m going to use batch purifier next as it’s something I’ve not used and is it okay to list 7/14 days or shall I wait 30 days and also is selling a pair of used jeans actually safe for new accounts

my account now, I only wait for 5 days and then upload the first product. After a few days, I upload the second product without receiving any information of suspension
