Cool LexisNexis

Just sold my first item on my 2-week old account. It was a $18 pair of slides. As soon as it sold, I got a message from eBay saying the account has been restricted until I contact them and answer some questions to "verify the account."

The account should be good: new Fresh IP address. Using real name, real DOB, real SSN, new address (UPS store), new phone number, new email.

I call in, and they said according to LexisNexis, I don't exist and there is no way to verify me. I ask if I can send in my ID for verification. She says no, this is the only way to do it and since they can't verify me the account will remain restricted.

I chat in again, and the new rep says that the account is restricted and there is no way to appeal.

Anyone know what is going on here, or how to bypass on my next stealth?

I'm thinking the solution to this may be to use a really old address that is linked to my actual identity. Perhaps an address from 15 year ago, that was never associated with my burned account. Let me know what you guys think.

I guess the other question is: will they use LexisNexis profile information to link accounts, or is it for identity verification purposes only?

The UPS Store address may have cost you the account. They will likely use LexisNexis, but the question is will the software connect the old address to the burned address.

I still use UPS accounts myself and again I really don't get issues like this.

The phone number? It is a legit number, I bought a $30 plan from straight talk and a brand new phone

So LexisNexis can be used by eBay as a tool to link accounts? I thought it was just a way to get the account verified.

I honestly think I probably should have aged it a bit more before selling and might not have this issue.

Ok that's good. because I know they'll try to verify the phone number and voip doesn't really work .
