The little numbers under the eBay limits messages...

I decided to post this in a separate thread. For example, if you hit a selling limit on eBay, you'll normally get the standard message like "We regret to inform you that your eBay account is prohibited from listing additional items at this time." etc. etc right?

Below this error message, there's a little number in grey and in brackets {} that says something like "e27429-173917x" or "e18392-283182x". I'm sure some of you noticed this.

Now, I have a few of these on my accounts right now. I first thought that they are identifiers that identify your account or something, but then I found that 3 different people, in 3 different countries, got the same number. Take a look:

e24529-141474x - from Israel:
חשבון מושעה | פורומים

e24529-154113x - from Netherlands:
eBay-forums: Anders betalen ...

e24529-227058x - from Korea (I think):
ī

Notice that all of them start with "e24529"? What do you guys think the number is?

Probably identifies the type of limitiation and why imposed..

I noticed them with most 'notices' eBay gives you. I wouldn't be surprised if some identified you if you post them else where on the internet. I'm careful to PS them out though. I replace mine with 'smiley faces'. :)

I found out what it is. For example in "e24529-154113x".

The e24529 is actually the date or time of right now, or a range of a few days. It keeps increasing and that also explains while many people had the same number in almost the same date. For example, people in May 2009 got e24529 while people in September 2009 got e25666 and so on. The second number is probably the violation code.
