Slow sales?
 

Hello everyone!

So I have experienced slow sales in the past, usually straight after Christmas which is to be expected but the past 6 weeks have been the worst I have ever seen! Views extremely low no bids no questions nothing! Its like eBay is just dead. Its not my account its in good order! Im just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this maybe its due to summer and cut backs etc possibly?

Happens each time there is a heat wave - it even itself out when it get colder though :)

Summer is usually a slow time unless you sell summer stuff

consumers are paying more for food and fuel,not much left .

Could also be competition OP - check out your niche market competitors

Ebay has lost some steam, Im not sure the reason but in their last stock reporting to Wall Street earnings I read that they had lost like 9% of their sellers, if you figure the sellers are also buyers that would account for some loss. Also the season is part of it but I dont think thats all. For some reason ebay has had problems going on and I think myself they are making the platform to hard to use with strick security, Vero, etc, after awhile some just give up and move on to easier platforms

In the 14 years of selling on eBay I have never had a drop in sales/viewings this big. I do believe there is an element of truth in that eBays changes to the site have impacted sales. It will always be the number one platform, but after reading articles and forums it seems that I am not the only one. So when you say every year theres a “sales slower” concern I have never had an issue with sales apart from just after Christmas which is to be expected.

In the UK I expect its down to the sun as well as everything getting very expensive these days

Yep cost of living is making a lot buyers from spending there only buying what they really need and weather also plays a big part in this and of course as stated by Camaro2SS ebay keeps on faffing about with the algorithm

I think the new way it works has also put quite a few people off who have just swapped to Amazon now

UK inflation is over 10%,worse than US.
