Hi everyone,

I just asked for a selling increase through live chat. My account is 2 months old 1 month selling history only 1 item sold.

Limits were 10 items £650 limit

My new selling limit now is 100 items £5000 limit

The new business plan has officially started :)

Asking for selling limits increase is risky, you should let it increase naturally. Account can be suspended within a week after asking through live chat

Thanks everyone I’ve got one more account to increase the selling limit on now and I can do that tomorrow as it’s been more than 30 days.

All other accounts I have all have good selling limits.

Just make sure you don't mess it up by selling high risk goods or engaging in retail arbitrage. :thumb:

I actually have a high risk item listed on the account which has just got an increase hopefully it will sell and funds to be paid.

The increase is in no way a green light to 'pose a threat to the community' or whatever they call it.

Given this is, for all intent and purposes, a brand new account you'd be mad to wade in there with high risk goods until it is well and truly established. If you're in this for the long game then what's the rush?

Did I see on another thread you've listed a lawnmower. Are you really stocking new mowers and can address and scrutiny that comes your way?

How many times have you been down this road before, surely it's time to treat this account with some simple respect.

That said, it's your account and you can do with it what you want. Just sayin' :)

I can't agree more with the above statement.
I was going to say the same.

On the flip side, Sam, I think you should find a middle ground on operating your business. Do what you think is best for you and just learn from your mistakes. Don't burn all your accounts.

that 10 fold item increase is great... enjoy it.

The only reason for making a post about an increase is to help someone who is struggling with low limits on what to say to get an increase but nobody commented about needing help with an increase but if they do I would happily help out.

I’m doing things differently now trying out new methods to see if they work. I have listed a lawnmower on an account it’s active also listed a gym bench in another account it’s active and a cement mixer on another account which is active.

No I don’t stock these products their just products I’m listing to see if they pass certain triggers. So far they have passed first trigger which is reactivate your eBay account.

I want to see if I can successfully list a vero item in my 2nd month and get paid for it if it works great if it doesn’t then at least I tried.

Tons of people dropship successfully. You just have to find the method that works best. Theres suppliers with us stock that provide invoices and documentation of your relationship. Best way to start

I really don't like dropshipping because I'm not in control of the item and shipping speed which could cause a defect in my account.

It'd be too stressful for me.

No it’s 2 months old already sold 1 item around £10. My other accounts are fresh apart from another 2 month old account. The fresh accounts all have active listing on all above £50 and less than £100.

I purchased an account from the forum as you would know. For the first month I sold low risk items mainly under £10. Jeans for £20 and a car part for £40.

I built up good feedback multiple payouts to my bank account.

Second month I listed a risky item was paid into my bank account. Towards the end of the 2nd month I listed risky item no triggers from eBay but as soon as I sold risky item day after first one.

We couldn’t verify your info so I have tried to build the account up so plan now is to have many accounts list risky item 2nd month and rotate around.

I currently have 7 accounts now so rotating sales around im hoping will be like PayPal where I rotate sales around and minimise risk.

I’m not focusing on one account now not carrying all my eggs in my basket. I do this with PayPal and works perfectly.

So what happens if your bench sells? Seems like a weird plan to me.

Two months is still a brand new, 'fresh' account. Don't kid yourself that it's anything else.

As far as listing vero items goes then yes, they may allow you to slip under the radar and list some, but what happens when they're reported/botted?

Even for a well aged account of many years you're getting some kind or restriction, for an account only a few weeks old it's potentially game over.

Like I said, they're your accounts but I simply cannot see the appeal of trying to scratch a living making a few sales to mask your planned policy breaches and then having to start all over again when your vero items are eventually targeted.

Here's a thought....why not sell wholly compliant items and stop all this nonsense - works for me and millions of others. :) It's the future.

Well I just had 2 bids placed on the cement mixer listed up but I just ended the listing to say it was broken so if bids are received listing will end.

Yes I agree 2 months is still very fresh but not classed as a new user. Will be interesting to see if my high risk item sells and I get paid for it and if I get a limit or not.

Theirs always a risk of an item being reported but it’s the same if you sell a cardboard box if it’s not described it goes against you.

I recently saw a seller selling car parts and his account was limited due to amount of returns he was getting.

The thing with eBay whatever you sell is not safe eBay can shut you down or ask for documents for anything.

The only way to work around eBay is to have many back up accounts and rotate them around.

Focusing on one account is an absolute disaster in my opinion.

just sell many items and your limits will be automatically increasing. asking for higher limits is pointless unless you have already exhausted the existing limits

I’ve only got one more account to ask for limits on its 10/650 all the rest are 100/3500 limit

With your tactics, I agree.

@Hank is spot on with his comments. Quit faffing about and do legit sh*t, and you more than likely will never have to worry about a second account again.

The people making good money on ebay aren't phucking around with multiple, low-limit accounts, evading policies and praying for the best.

I have no clue what your goals are, though... maybe this is what you want.
