Any email for Trust and Safety?
 

EBay staff talk about those who work in the “Back Office”, does anyone have a contact email for that section?. I’m sick of trying to communicate with someone on their online chat who knows nothing about what I’m trying to tell them.

It probably is, I’m just annoyed at creating a genuine account then having eBay delete listings that follow their own policy on such items, they need to rewrite their policy but there’s no one who you can talk to about it. I’ve had a 3, 7 now 10 day ban

Police patches that are shoulder patches
These are allowed in their policy

Badge patches which resemble police badges
Not allowed as can be used to impersonate

Policy states shield and badge patches not allowed
Should read oval and star shaped patches that resemble police badges

EBay see shield and assume that a shield shape patch which is about 80 percent of all shoulder patches are not allowed and take listings down

I mean, they do have these back offices. And they aren't allowed to have phones. This isn't a myth. It's ebay's way to prevent these agents from being tricked or swayed with emotions. Because as we all know, it does not matter what policy exists, and what they say is completely impossible or not within their power, you say the right thing to the right agent, and you will get your way.

Back office is real. There is a small group of people who decides the fate of your account. They don’t really care if you are innocent of not, what they care is how they perceive what’s happening. eBay knows a lot of suspended accounts aren’t always guilt but they would rather eliminate potential fraud even if it means kill of “good guys” with the bad.
