Does anyone else use genuine ID

Am I the only one who's had success on here using my real name and ID after getting suspended a few times over last 15 years using ebay? I've got 2
accounts - 1 business and 1 personal going for 6 and 8 months and ID got successfully accepted within 24 hours of being requested. Obviously using stealth address but using real name with bank account might have helped the cause. Always a risk of linkage but only having to make a new account once a year at most is success right?

Success is relative these days - you are successful if you are operating well without hiccups :)

Are you selling low risk items? This method seems to work what you are saying I did the same but got suspended with my real ID because I listed risky items in first week.

When we’re you asked to submit ID? How much turnover made on the accounts?

You have become fixated with the link between ID and selling risk item on a new account.

What they're saying is that ID can be re-used if you don't attract unwanted attention and act normally and reasonably.

Your business model is going to attract attention, and pretty quickly too and cannot be likened to what the OP is suggesting.

I never thought ID could be re used on eBay accounts with missmatch address. It’s seems the same as PayPal still as you can re use ID on PayPal with your real name and date of birth but missmatch address.

I’m going to create an account on Monday with my real name and date of birth but a missmatch address and sell low risk items problem is it’s going to a while to make £750-£1500 before eBay will ask for ID but I think if low risk items are sold then I have a chance of passing ID.

I mean yeah, I have a real account with real info, after being suspended. Can it work? Sure. But it can also not work. Now way to know.

I sell low risk items from as little as £1.99 up to £30. I only use ebay as a marketing tool for new customers and most become repeat customers through amazon or shopify.

I'll make a brand new account and give a detailed summary of when I'm asked for ID, if I get suspended etc.. I'll also make a separate account and try and sell a couple of consoles and see what happens

When we’re you asked to submit the ID after you made your first sale? Or after a certain turnover has been reached?

Re: Does anyone else use genuine ID

I had to change all my info two years ago to my real id and address due to switching to ebay managed payments. I was doing great but decided to use my ipad about 5 times this past month when I never used it before. I've had a stealth account for 17 years now with no issues and I had been suspended 8 times before then. After using my ipad, which I know is a no no via the ebay suspension guide, but my computer was so slow that I was getting impatient. I kept getting messages from ebay that I was logged on by a different device....ipad. I think that set off a security breach by a bot and today I had to upload my Drivers License as a hold was placed on my funds unless I did so. I am nervous, hoping that I'm not going to be suspended. I wonder how many days it takes for someone to verify my ID. The flag and restriction was lifted as soon as I uploaded the ID, but I'm sure it has to be manually verified now.

Only time will tell - tough to give a hard timeframe

just use real ID and address and you will be accepted. prior suspensions outside of MP do not play any role anymore

even if ebay claim you were accepted you can only know for sure after some time. there are lots of people who sent in stealth ID's and were accepted just to be suspended a while later

Had been selling on MP account (with previously suspended pre-MP eBay ID) for 1.5 years approx.

I guess opening one more account under my ID can work (but different ip, sim, device, etc)

It’s happened to me as well my real account was suspended a while ago.

What I am going to do for another account is use my real name, date of birth and a previous address lived at apparently this works and by passes eBay threshold when they ask for ID so will be giving it a go.
