Hey guys. How do you build an account with non tracked shipping?
 

I keep trying to build my account by shipping things out. But that's minimum $3-4

How do you build up your accounts with selling things that have no tracking? Digital. Stamped. Etc.

My good accounts keep getting dinged, because I sell items that are $30-300. I just want to pad my account a little, because right now, every time something happens, it weighs heavily on my account due to the low volume I sell.

Most methods that involve digital items are risky at best. If you still want to try, stay away from copyrighted products such as license keys.

I'm not trying to sell risky, Or things not allowed. Just need to figure out how to sell them to make my account better. So that I can sell other things that are real but more expensive. And also so that my ratings don't go down due to not having enough sales or percent.

IF YOU just wanna pad your account by having a high sales volume selling a popular but cheap items is the way to go .

People go for cheap for sure.

Sell low end item - pickup only....think about it; saves costs and gets your "padding"

Does pickup only work tho? Does that bypass the shipping and label metrics?

Pretty much from my "low-end" selling to keep a few accounts active for the hell of it

I really thought there would be more help from you guys.

I see people selling digital items all the time, and they have huge accounts. So how are they doing it? How does it look on the metrics? Do they ship? Can you do no shipping?


Come on guys. Please. I'm so sick of wasting money shipping books.

I tried listing a digital picture like the 100,000's of others. And it gave me a warning

So how is it done? Is this a secret that you guys aren't willing to share or something? I really don't get it.

I never tried listing Digital items,
But maybe Try changing the Title until the warning goes away.

Some I have seen as pick up only - no mention of branded title though

Most, I've seen are shipping. 99 cent listing, and shipping. They are getting tracking numbers from somewhere. and obviously anyone buying a 99 cent digital picture, isn't opening up a case or leaving bad feedback or saying it was late, because the point of buying it in the first place, is to pad your feedback. I have one item up. A picture. I put local pickup. I'm not sure what i edited, to have it pass the warning tho.

oh and of course on the same account, I got my apple ear buds taken off for being counterfeit lol. Even tho they are real.

A pain as in the sales is slow or something else?

Ever tried those dollar store items like toys and necessities items?

still costs money to ship tho, and is a little pain in the ass. I mean, the books are essentially the same. And i still already have them. lol I was just trying to be lazy and find something easier and maybe cheaper... This is a real account by the way. I haven't had the energy to do anymore stealth ones. My items are too niche. I have 4 real accounts. One is my main one. It's been at like 65% down for the last 2 years. I think the service metrics are what have been killing me. If I could get into a 3 month look back, it will help.

second account was getting me maybe 10-15% of my totals. It's also 20 years old. But that's kinda dead now too.

Now I'm working on my 3rd account. I've always sold books as a loss leader. Mainly because I buy a lot to read. And then sell them. I sell them for $3.50-5.00. Shipping is like $4 on average. Plus the stupid fees. And my time.

So not cheap.

Question is, how much is worth spending to build up accounts? How much do you guys spend to make an account look good? I can build this account to be as big as I want, without worrying of having it shut down for no reason.

Since most of my activities are on grandfathered accounts, I haven't had the need to even pull out my back up accounts for at least a few years.

So I'm just going back thinking what I did when my accounts are fresh and share with you.

I'll just share that when we feel lazy but we need to do something, that's when we need to do the inconvenient things.

I don't sell books since they are bulky so I always opt for small cheap unbreakable stuff that I can just put into a poly bag and drop it off.
I don't really prime my accounts for a very long time though because I do get very good feedbacks most of the time from my best selling items.

My sales is definitely down but that's because I'm focusing on something else to build my future.

use of the word "Apple" for electronics will do that sadly
