EBay keeps getting suspended
 

I’m back in the game after a long break . Whenever I make a new account and list something for example just pillows for £10 my account gets suspended 10 mins later .
What am I doing wrong ? I even used a VPN ?
Do I need to buy an account in order to be able to list ?

Which VPN did you use?

Did you use all new information for the account?

Please provide more details so the experienced folk around here can help.

If you give us your account set up the vpn you use phone number etc we’re be able to help you further :)

I used a simple VPN from my phone just for a test run and it does change the location . However I did use the same phone number and name so that could be the issue . I will now try again using a different name and phone number and hopefully that should stop me from getting banned straight away .

Again account suspended, used a new name and everything, I used the same number , but this can’t affect it that much can it ? I create the account using a VPN then list a cheap item for £8 and account is suspended within 15 mins . This is really annoying me now

Are you creating the accounts from your phone if you are I wouldn’t do that. Set up a new user account on your laptop/pc.

Also don’t use vpn on your phone either. Get a cheap dongle or if your router is dynamic and changes ip everytime switch it on/off should change ip.

Make sure your using a different phone number. EE SIM cards are the best 99p and free phone number on the back no need to top up.

Using your real name and date of birth is also fine but don’t use a random address. You can use your real address if you wasn’t suspended prior to managed payments.

If you was suspended on managed payments use an address on your credit report.

So far I see 2 things that could be your problem, VPN and reusing a suspended phone number. When creating accounts the only thing you can reuse is name, dob, ssn. Everything else must be different. This is basic stealth rules

Are you using a computer OP? You need to use different user accounts. Forget the mobile phone use right now - you're getting linked too quickly. Also, can you get a better IP source?

I did everything everyone has recommended.
I made a new user on my computer
Used NORDVPN so it was definitely a different ip
Used a different number
However after I made the account and then listed a product 30 mins later the account has been suspended.
What am I doing wrong ?

Don’t use NORDVPN this is why your account is getting suspended after 30 minutes of creating your account.

1. Try using 1 static residential IP from ipburger.
2. stop reusing previously used info like your phone number that was banned in an old account.

3. Don't sell high risk branded items.

nordVPN is not bad, I ran multiple accounts on it witch success, but granted didn't create any new ones on it.

There could be other reasons why you keep getting banned. Are you using same titles descriptions and photos as previously banned accounts?

Try using your mobile hotspot to create an account and see how it goes.

Also don't list straight after creating an account, browse around on ebay, read about policies, selling fees etc, basically behave like a new dumb ebay user for a couple of days.

Are you sure about this ? Previously NORDVPN had been reliable to me ?
But I’ll change to residential however I don’t know if that’s the issue

Ok , I will take all of this into consideration and try making a new account now . I will update as to how it goes .

I thought NordVPN was good also until I learned more about how stealth works.

Stealth means to slide by security (eBay ai bot) by looking exactly like the rest of the crowd. Not looking suspicious at all. At first I thought stealth meant to be completely anonymous. I was wrong 😂

If you go to scamalytics.com or whoer.net and test your IP fraud score then it’s probably high. If you run a tracert to your IP that you get from NordVPN then it’s 99% chance of it being a data center ISP (known for VPNs and Proxies) and not a mobile or residential ISP. This look very suspicious to the eBay bot.

Well tried again new user account , new ip using nord , new number bla bla all of that .
Same thing account got banned within 20 mins
Tomorrow I will try to make an account and list from work and using my work phone
If the account does not get restricted then NORDVPN was indeed the issue
Hopefully I get around this because with what I do I need to make many different stealth accounts

1. Never ever use any VPN to create new eBay account.
2. Never list right away
3. Never ever reuse the same phone number
4. Never ever use virtual phone number

OH YES... Nord = one of the worst.
Everyone that has cut corners with their IP source like nordvpn has come in droves not too long ago and complain in the forum about them.

Using ip burger residential VPN
new phone number

Made account , waited 2 hours posted a listing for £9.99
20 mins later account has been suspended again

What am I doing wrong ?
This is really getting to me now and this proves that it was not an IP issue .

What can’t I create new accounts ??????

No one knows the reason you’re getting suspended. But if you know basic stealth principles then your chances of getting suspended are much less

New user account
New ip address (residential or mobile)
New email
New phone number (physical sim number) avoid all online numbers
New address
New bank account
Images in listing with metadata cleaned

Didn’t link bank account before any item sold
New listing with new product

So everything was new , I am having trouble seeing what would suspend me .

You said you waited 2 hours to list your item up? Why did you wait 2hours and not list the item straight away?

What was the £9.99 item you listed up? Did you use buy it now or 7 day auction? Did you use free postage and packaging or 2nd class paid postage?

It has nothing to do with with pride !

OP listed an item within 2 hours. How many new sellers you know who would open a new account and start selling right away?

I listed a pillow set . I waited 2 hours just to not look to suspicious but on other accounts I have listed straight away . I used buy it now , and free postage and packaging

The photos I used , I did not use them before . However they are the same as another listing .
I used chrome .

Stock photo whixh is the same as another user . I don’t see how this would be an issue as many other sellers do the same .
Or is this a new problem ?

Don’t use buy it now and free postage and packaging. Don’t sell brand new item either. Make sure your listing is for a 7 day auction used with paid postage and packaging not free.

Yes don’t use stock photo either. If you want to sell a pillow set click sold listings for used with a price range of £10+ and go back to the last pages use title pictures and description or take your own pictures.

Stealth guide recommends a few days before listing

Some on forum say list right away, some say wait a few days, weeks or months.

No one here knows the eBay algorithm for suspension.. we only know what works for us

But there’s lots of factors on why you can get suspended.

Don't try to list an item two hours after creating the account. Success rate is much better if you wait 2-3 weeks and also browse a few items every once in a while during that time. Creating an account and then trying to list an item right away isn't going to have much luck.

It’s like Roy said everyone has their own method and ways of creating accounts. I list straight away no browsing no bidding and works perfectly for me others will wait list and have success. It’s finding the right balance and what works for you.

What residential addresses are you using?

There's an issue in you account creation process, if you're getting suspended almost instantly. It's been said already, but you have to look normal, so do not re-use any data which can link you to an already suspended account.

As an aside, it has very little to do with what you list, when you lists it, new or used or the price or how long you wait to start selling. It's all unfounded hearsay, take it with a pinch of salt.
