Punished for duplicate listings??
 

Hello, just wondered if anyone could help me on this. I have been listing items on Ebay which each have a different title, same item just a slight change in the title or sometimes a small change in the price. Sales were good even with a small amount of listings. I decided last week to duplicate each listing which doubled each of my listings showing on Ebay. However there has been a massive drop in sales of upto 75%! At some stages of the day when i search for an item i have on it doesnt even show up at all. Is this all due to the duplicate listings? I have just deleted all my duplicated items to see what happends but thought i would see if anyone else had information on this,

duplicates should show up , each will have a unique reference number visible..
youve made an error with listing or there is a glitch on what you are doing eg. sell similar or relist, cant say Ive noticed it though..

Well to be honest i only changed originally becuase i notices some months ago that at the bottom of each page it said, duplicate listings will only be shown once, to show all listing please click here in the small print near the sponsored listings.

When you did this all items then showed. However i noticed a few days back they had changed this at the bottom of the page to

Where results contain multi-variation listings, the item counts on the page are inclusive of all matching variations that are available.


So i thought i would give a go at duplicating my listings, this proved a nightmare, i was getting between 4 and 9 sales per day, in the past 5 days i have had 4 orders! some difference. Somet to look at anyway. I will tell you if my sales increase now that i have taken off all my duplicate listings.

That's all I ever list is duplicate listing since I usually only sell 1 item per account. The only time I ever see a drop in sales is if you list too many at the same time. I hit sell similar to list the same listing at different times until I get to the number of listings I want up for the day, then I just click relist every time it sells and the listing shows up a few minutes later along with the others.
