ebay selling while travelling abroad question (2022)
 

Hi,

I'll be abroad travelling soon. I would like to continue selling on ebayUK (I have help to dispatch the sold items in the UK) but need to still log into my ebayUK account myself to handle the online part.

Will a dedicated VPN such as IPBURGER be good to use while I'm abroad? I take it I would need a UK ip address?

Is there anything else one should do/know while operating ebay and travelling?

Yep that will do and make sure you keep your device to UK time zone :)

Go on to ebay chat and let them know so it's logged on the system.

I just take a laptop and my portable browsers and use my phones hotspot with a foreign sim inside.

Will be doing the same again in 2 weeks time :-)

Another option you have depending on where you are going is take a UK SIM with you

If you tether it will give you a Uk based IP

you definitely need a good UK IP.

If I were you, I'd grab a static residential IP from IPburger (you just need to use it on one account right?)

If you got multiple accounts, grab the rotating residential IP and ask ipburger how to set them up with different sseid per browser.

Do this at least a week or 2 before you travel so you're doing it at home and consistently use the IPs

Thanks for your input.

I'll be in the Americas so a UK sim would be rather costly (unless I can find a good international data plan)

I have a few accounts so might try the foreign sim (and contacting ebay)
and the ipburger residential..
