The basic differences of setting up business account vs. personal account...?
 

I'm familiar with the Stealth manual (bought it several times over the years) but in the last couple years because of MP changes, the business account option keeps getting mentioned and seems to be a more popular option than it used to be...

What are the basics for setting up a business account, which details are different than the tried and true personal accounts? I thought there'd be a thread on it, or a section of the forum, but there doesn't seem to be one, just references here and there.

The most useful searches I end up doing are the suggested similar-existing-threads that are suggested when I start a new thread, but even now the suggestions talk about the benefits of a business account, but not the actual set up differences.

Could someone mention the basic differences to the steps for setting up a business account, or point me to the thread or forum section where it is explained?

there is no relative difference between them at all besides a tax id.

So setting them up is identical, except you choose the box that says "business account" and use the EIN number instead upon setup? That's pretty much it?

It's not that difficult at all. To change your account type from personal to business, follow these steps: 1) Select the My eBay tab; 2) After choosing the My Account header, click Personal Information; 3) Click the Edit button. It’s right next to the Account Type; 4) On the Change Account Type screen, choose Business; 5) Fill out the form for the Business account, then click the Change to Business Account option. I did the same thing after I realized I will earn much more by starting a business account. I'm now so proud of myself that I chose the path of starting a business and not still being an employee.
