Banned from 1 category, need some thoughts on using wife's account to list there
 

I've sold on eBay since 2004, mostly drawings/paintings/digital designs of popular trendy things printed onto phone cases.

At the end of 2020, I had 1 design that took OFF. More sales than I've ever had in a single day. It caught eBay's attention (it was reviewed manually from real people) and they banned my account. After some talks with them, they reopened my account but restricted me from selling from 1 specific category. However since then, I've found a bunch of other sellers selling the exact designs I created in that category. Of course, eBay does nothing about it.

Since then, I got scared and stopped selling certain designs, but my income took a huge hit. I couldn't take it anymore so I began selling the same designs again this year but in a more generic category. However, my sales are down about 75% vs what they were when they were in the correct category. I can't even find my products when I search eBay because eBay can tell by the keywords which category the results default to.

Now I'm desperate, especially seeing everyone else sell MY stuff just fine in the category I'm banned from. If I were to use my wife's ebay account (she has logged into my computer with her account), if I were to get IPBurger, new Windows User account, her own bank account, is there much risk to MY eBay account?

1. Read the stealth guide , you'll understand a lot more and will be able to answer some of your own questions.

2. Start making new accounts and spread out your sales so this doesn't happen to you again

Is the stealth guide updated with managed payments and all of the major changes they've made? That page shows very old testimonials so I wasn't sure if it's an older guide.

Edit: Saw other posts of people saying the guide is still relevant. I will order it today. Thanks

I purchased 3 stealth accounts about 5 years ago but never used them. I figured using my wife's account (that she barely uses...only has sold about 5 items on there) would be less risky since it has some history.

Ok I purchased the stealth guide and I honestly cannot find the answers to my questions. I read every word, even the comments at the bottom on every page. I have created many eBay accounts (business and personal) and I understand the process very clearly. I guess my confusion right now is why not use an existing account that has no issues vs using a purchased stealth account/creating a new one? Why is using an existing account "riding a Ducati"?

Just to be clear on a few things:

1. She logged into her eBay account using my Wifi last year. Just a few times while she sold some of her things. My IP has changed multiple times since then.
2. We're newly married and she still has her last name for now.
3. Her address on her eBay account and bank account is her previous home's address (her parents house).
4. We would use her bank account.
5. I don't sell anything illegal. Just a lot of competition always falsely reporting each other. So I don't expect her account to be taken down if I list similar items as my account. Hell, eBay hasn't taken down any of my items that I put in a different category (items they took down when they banned me from the correct category).
5. Overall, we would use her account just as we would regularly. My main question is does the login from last year permanently connect her to me?
