Revolut VCC for selling costs not working anymore!!
 

Hi,

I attach revolut VCC debit card numbers to my stealth ebay accounts in case I have to make a refund to buyers (and don't have enough funds from sales that day)
This has worked well until day.

I tried to make a refund but the payment got reverted and doesnt process. It says the merchant cancelled the transaction. Why?

Has anyone had the same issue? What do we know about this?

I used another virtual card with a different app to pay in the end.

Have you contacted recolut and ask why they decline payment ?

Revolut say the merchant (ie, ebay) cancelled the transaction. Why would that be?

that is easy , the merchant can determine under which conditions transactions go through. in the past mismatch in billing address was ignored , now transaction is cancelled if billing does not match

Yes this seems to be true. I removed a revolut vcc from one of my accounts as account has been changed over. Tried to add a new vcc matching my name on eBay and it’s saying make sure address is the same as your card.

I’m hoping when I verify my new bank details as I changed them over as well. I can still accept payments without a vcc but not so sure only time will tell I guess.

you can change the billing address with your bank though , 10 banks 10 billing addresses

you can perfectly change billing address , I did it a number of times with real banks , it is not advisable though to use different billing addresses in the same bank

Yeah I do this when switching accounts over and it’s always worked. Problem is the vcc I use is revolut unless I use my actual bank card with same address on bank as eBay.

My deposits have just arrived for the bank account switch over but I’ll confirm them in the morning need some rest lol

All this faffing with VCC's and mismatched addresses etc.....just take the easy option and stop taking daily disbursements, even changing it to weekly will make the chances of a charge to the card very unlikely. Change it to monthly and the problem will effectively go away altogether.

I’ve change my bank details over multiple times and I’ve had no issues doing it. I even added my own debit card for any refunds in the future with the change of address on bank to match eBay and card accepted with no problems.

Looks like the days of adding revolut cards to eBay no longer works now but they do still work for printing labels through check out as guest which is perfect as you get funds when customer receives their item :)

Revolut VCCs were really convenient so thats a shame.

Might try receiving payouts less frequently, don't really like that though especially when ebay can hold on to it if all goes to sh!T!
