Are W-9 requirements a problem for stealth?
 

I mainly sell on Mercari, OfferUp, and Craigslist.

I had my eBay account suspended in 2020, and was interested in getting back on.

However, on every platform that I'm using, after hitting $600 in sales, I've been required to submit tax form W-9, which requires SSN and DOB. It used to only be required for anybody doing over $20k in a year.

How are you guys managing to have multiple accounts if you only have one Social Security Number?

I've been doing some research for the past 45 minutes, and I came up with the idea that it probably involves creating a separate LLC for each account, because each LLC is going to have it's own unique EIN number. Is that what everybody here is doing?

How do you overcome the limitation of the SSN requirement?

Have you read around the forum for posts using EIN?
