Can I sell on Ebay USA with an LLC living outside?
 

Hey guys,

I started selling on ebay a few years ago but I gave up on it because I got suspended. The account was made from the country where I live (Spain)

I've been doing ecommerce since then using other platforms but now that I have an LLC with a Bank account in the US and PayPal is no longer mandatory, I was wondering if I could sell on eBay again with my new setup...

Is anyone doing this successfully? What verifications do they put in place now and what are the best practices to avoid suspensions? Do they ask for SSN? Not being a US resident, can you provide them with an ITIN or business EIN instead? I have my taxpayer ID (ITIN) and EIN number.

I know that I could create an account under a family member's name or a friend, but I'd like to have the money going to my US business bank account. Is advisable then to use a USA Residential IP address to register the account and avoid mismatching?

even if EIN can replace SSN it is risky as ebay tend to ask for SSN eventually as well , there are various people here who wanted to use EIN only but were eventually asked for SSN too

Hey! As I said in my previous post, I also have an ITIN... In the letter, the IRS itself specifies that I should provide this whenever I get asked for SSN. Is the taxpayer ID.

I used it to open a PayPal business account where they asked me for SSN successfully, so I was wondering if this would be the case if I also apply for ebay. I want to get this thing right from the beginning because I don't want that the info related to my business gets flagged.

ebay do not want non-residents , you can only run an ebay account if you conceal that business owner is non-resident , it might be possible with EIN , as far as I know only replacement for EIN is SSN

ebay starts out as a person to person buy/sell venue,today majority of Ebay sellers are individuals.
SSN is not just for tax reporting,it is also a way to verify who you are
