Payouts are on hold because payment issue

I got a message says that 'Your payouts are on hold because you don’t have a payment method on file that can be charged for any outstanding selling costs. Please add one to get paid'.

And then I set my card as 'Preferred for selling costs' in the 'Payment options' area. But the warning still there, what should I do? Does the system need a certain amount of time to confirm?

when did you set the card up? it is possible that it takes a day or so

Verification of cards for back up payments is almost instant, there's an issue with the card. Try another.
