ebay wants DL for verification

ebay is requesting my DL , i have stealth account , does ebay check if DL # is legit or not or they just look at the ID to verify and move on?

They will check it

You can always update the name and DOB to your own then use your own ID on the account.

They can tap into a database just like the police does,so it has to be valid

Does eBay check in public records or dmv records ?

Has anyone tried passport option ?
Or military id as other option
