Waiting for funds to arrive for suspended account but no longer have bank account
 

I got a suspended account which I am waiting for funds to arrive, chat support said the usual bs 60 days then 160 days and I still have a few weeks so the account has been put in the bottom drawer and forgotten.

Today I closed some of my extra Saver accounts linked to my main bank account and now I realise one of those saver accounts is locked to the ebay account. Spoke to my bank and they said once closed its gone, the money will bounce.

So I know the money will come back to ebay when they finally disburse it but what then? Anybody been in this scenario? Naturally on a good account can add new bank account and delete old one but on suspended accounts everything is disabled and riddled with broken links

This is not a good situation.

Only way now is to try to get customer support to add a new bank account and do it sooner than later.

do you think it will send you a bank check,but then what name would be payable to and what address?

if your old bank account and you add a new bank account,ebay would have to be sure it is a legit one.

I sense it won't be easy at all, really hate dealing with those lying ratbags on support i mentally wrote off the money 80% yesterday as soon as I realised $920 bye bye :(

all you need to do is to give Ebay what they ask for ,then you will be able to add a new bank account,you cant be the only one.
I know with Paypal,if it has been closed for so long,they have to know you are you.

Maybe you can ask if they can send a check to your address. You have access to this right? I would stick with using whatever your current information is, without changing it - use that.

my account is verified with real id, they are not asking for anything

kiss those funds goodbye you will never get them, I closed a checking account as well funds got returned back to eBay, I tried for probably 3 months to get the funds and they wouldn't budge on letting me re-add another bank account so i am out $600 this was a year ago

On ebay UK I have the same issue. I called ebay spoke to an agent and they advised I can add a bank account after 60 days of suspension, I didn't get chance to update bank info with deposits, the agent said as the account is verified I will be able to call in and update bank info with them for payout after 60 days are up.

On a separate note, another account that was suspended, ebay have paid out funds in 60 days and I only called in once after 2 weeks of suspension.

Don't lose hope and keep grinding!!!

thanks for that experience nimble, I tried once and got told to contact some govt department for disbursement. But knowing it's possible ill keep trying chat every few days maybe get lucky

Keep trying you might get a "good" rep. I'll be trying to add bank account to the suspended account soon and will update with the results.

I've had this happen on like 4 stealth accounts when Wells Fargo banned me. I recovered one. It required me to send in an email to customer service explainging the situation, and I got a reply saying eBay reinstated the account. Then you call their customer service and over the phone they'll delete the old bank account and let you add a new one. The account was later banned again with no activity but at least I got the funds out
