Virtual sims
 

What are some apps that I can use in the UK to get virtual sims for eBay accounts. It’s becoming a hassle always having to have 2 phones with me to just sign in to eBay .
So what apps are good for UK numbers ?

I have a feeling those virtual sims would be overused/abused but perhaps other people have comments and suggestionsfrom experience

ebay do not allow virtual numbers , if their system should identify a number as such it will not be sending SMS there. it is a dangerous matter because they do allow to place such numbers on file but SMS may stop arriving anytime

How can they tell wether it’s a virtual number or not ?

likely by provider , I have such a number , it looks like a usual UK mobile but it does not receive SMS from ebay or any banks

the only alternative I see is getting a virtual SIM from a major provider which would be just like a usual SIM but it would be activated through QR code but it would not be a true virtual mobile number

iphones starting from 13 can have up to 8 sims , 2 can be active at the same time

so this would work , all 8 could be virtual and you would have QR code for each so they could be moved to different phones

So you can use e-SIMs

They do work - although not all e-SIMs can get a text message.

Outright vittual numbers - they will generally cause a problem so best avoided.

Terminology can be muddy the waters somewhat, e-Sims and virtual numbers are not the same.
I suspect OP is after the former, it's merely multiple phone hassle they are looking to avoid.

Just get a phone that supports 2 sims, get a payg sim and you're good to go, I'm currently using this method, basic can be best.
