Initial Account (Selling) Limits

funny having initial account selling limits of 15 items or $350 (whichever comes first) what about you all?

Re: Initial Account (Selling) Limits

don't get crazy about limits , even if they tell you can list 1000 items you try that on a new account and you will be put down , most likely you will be taken out if you list just 50 despite 1000 being allowed

Re: Initial Account (Selling) Limits

There's also the question of account type.

If you're creating personal/private seller accounts (which I suspect most stealthers are) then ebay quite rightly wouldn't expect you to need more than a modest limit as you 'find your feet'.

If you're a business seller with watertight credentials, acting correctly then limit increase requests once you're up and running are not unreasonable and you would have no issues utilising any increases.

Only impatient stealthers get hung up on initial limits, to a genuine first time new seller they'd seem a reasonable approach by ebay as they validate your legitimacy. Just go with the flow and act normal.

Business accounts will give you higher limits.

Of course you are :)

Are they for sale by any chance?

Anyway, as MBE mentioned above, these high limits are somewhat pointless. Indeed, I would be more confident in maintaining an account which only had small initial limits and had to be grown organically, particularly if I was the typical impatient stealther.

As I suspected, you're using this forum to peddle unapproved accounts.

Thanks for the Private Message, but I wont be taking you up on your offer:

"Hello, yes im selling account, you can check first with anydesk, my telegram or whatsapp +37060499XXX"

Re: Initial Account (Selling) Limits

The accounts I have opened and listed on recently have all had different limits and I don’t know why.
But mainly 50 limit and £3k selling but have a couple with 10 items £500. So seems like no hard and fast rule for them.
I never use the full amount for a while anyway.
Build them up slowly and you get a better quality account with naturally high limits.
No I am not selling any.

I think he does.

I have a new business account with 75000/600160. It depends on credentials you sign up with, obviously I won't be going anywhere near those limits, even if I had the resources, it's best to warm up accounts and tread carefully.

On a rare occasion they might, but the statement was merely to attract PM's to peddle his off-forum accounts. Was pretty clear to me what his game was, these wanabee scammers can be spotted a mile away, usually when they pepper the forum with aimless posts to get their count up.

Account selling is lucrative, I'm sure the forum owner has dummy accounts who pretend to be stupid and looking for accounts to attract their attention like I did with their PM. Surely they watch PM's too for scam-related keywords. Anyway, none of my business. :)

I agree could be a scammer, I received a PM where he was offering an array of services outside the forum :spy:
