It happened to me recently and I tried to get more info but their website does not exist and there are very many bad reviews of the things as a scam. But the bottom line is that I lost an item and got a strike.
The main reviewer said that she has lots and lots of reports from the same "xxxx", but that she also was selling many like items that would ahve violated the same company's IR. (It was on Etsy).
My worry is that teh "xxxx" reporting might spread to my other listings and I get a hit from "yyyy", "zzzz" and on an on. |

Re: VERO report from infringementreposrt.com a lazy seller has similar listings - with some effort, things can be done differently |

For example (not actual) Black Jeep hat, Blue Jeep Hat, Pink Jeep hat.
And to make sure Agent006140 understands,......I am not selling Jeep hats. that is an example I am using so that the eBay spies among us can't follow up on what items I am actually concerned about. |

| martyjump | 03-22-2023 07:40 PM | Re: VERO report from infringementreposrt.com Is the vero complaint legitimate? If you arent violating somebody's copyright or likeness you could file a counter notice.
Google "ebay counter notice" and you should be able to find a template. You could then fill it out and either email or fax it to the vero department.
Please note that if you are infringing on the complaintants rights then doing this could result in perjury, lawsuits, and legal fees/fines. I would only proceed if you are absolutely sure you are well within your rights to.
*This is not legal advice* |

*This is not legal advice* | Thanks. Unfortunately the VERO is correct and if I were to fight it by playing dumb or anything it might only bring other listings into focus for the same violation.
That said.......are there people on these boards that do NOT have troubles with ebay in one form or another? Coming here seems like going to the doctor for menstrual cramps.....when you are a man. |

I would not be ringing them and bringing my account under further scrutiny, I'd take it on the chin and keep my head down. Maybe rest the account, maybe remove any similar items which might attract further VERO attention. But I would not be ringing them.
In this instance I suspect that the VERO 'holder' has created it bogusly but eBay are damned if they do and damned if they don't, it's perfectly understandable that they are unable and therefore unwilling to look at the legal rights and wrongs so that walk away from it. I'd do the same in their shoes.
Has anyone ever persuaded eBay that a VERO complaint was legally unsound and had it reversed? When I report sellers for VERO infringements - and there's been many - I never see the listing return or the item re-listed. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:11 PM. | |
